Guiding young Professionals and Student Musicians into successful music careers

Professor

As Director of Percussion at Wright State University, I've helped hundreds of students achieve success as orchestral performers, military band drummers, collegiate educators, band directors, music industry specialists, commercial musicians, DCI/WGI performers and instructors, and more.

Performer

I'm a timpanist, percussionist, drummer, clinician, consultant, and chamber musician with a 30-year performance career. I've toured and performed with the US Air Force Band of Flight, major orchestras, musical theater productions, and my rock band/jazz combo “Moment's Notice.”

Guide

My teaching approach is built around helping you thrive as a musician. I don’t just help you become a better drummer - I'll equip you with the strategy, connections, and mindset you need to live a life of musical success.

Turn your passion into a career

Most high school musicians know they’re great at what they do, but they don’t know how to turn it into a lifetime of making music.

  • What career options do you have?
  • What college do you go to?
  • Does being a professional percussionist mean giving up stability and money?

I totally understand what those first steps feel like and remember that exact experience early in my career. I found trusted guides along the way to mentor and train me so my career had direction and focus.

As a teacher with real world experience, I am now guiding talented performers and educators to have viable and fulfilling careers. I am a caring, dedicated, and motivated teacher who has helped hundreds of students find their path and I remain interested and available well after my students graduate.
